Covid-19 – No Lessons Learned?

Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. – Revelation 9:21

It has been 203 days since the first death from “Covid-19” was found in the United States. At this date approximately 200,000 Americans have died of this pandemic (about double a very bad Flu season).
During these same 203 days something else happened that few people know about – and sadly few people appear to care about. Approximately 481,700 American babies have died, intentionally put to death – for the sin of being alive.

In the early part of the pandemic, if you had paid any attention to discussions taking place in some areas of the public (mostly the political Left but possibly not exclusively) an opportunity to decide ‘Who is deserving to live’. Public Broadcasting airways (paid for by tax dollars) had been carrying on discussions of the need to possibly decide which elderly patients should have their ventilators removed and given to more deserving “younger” patients; and even situations in which “the more socially contributing” individuals should get ventilators while the less useful are allowed to die. In other words (if you can’t understand) – these people (groups) are using the “Covid” opportunity to nurture their, already instilled, views that those who society decides are most useful for society’s own wants should be given life supporting services, while the “less desirable” are cleared away to make room for the ‘more deserving’.

This was possibly seen in various states (and certain countries) in which sick individuals were actually sent into elderly care homes – resulting in a majority of the deaths. In a society in which life is so lightly valued, it is not too drastic to have the opinion that maybe such results were actually desired so as to “lighten” the load on government expenses.

Is anyone shocked?

When America can turn a blind eye to over 2,000 innocent babies being put to death every day, the next step would naturally be to start deciding WHO ELSE should be ‘less deserving’ of life.

Why will God listen to the cries of those in trouble, when they have turned a blind eye to the innocent deaths of others?

Consider what kind of society we are when the Federal CDC needs to put out a bulletin warning hospitals not to put patients with disabilities at the back of the line. Has the love of God and His Truth wilted so badly on our vine that He is now also withdrawing natural human love as well – so that in the end we destroy ourselves.

Behold, you trust in lying words, that cannot profit. [9] Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom you know not; [10] And come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? – Jeremiah 7:8-10

Moreover this they have done unto Me: they have defiled My sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned My sabbaths. [39] For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into My sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of Mine house. – Ezekiel 23:38-39

Of course, not everyone that dies of an epidemic, pandemic, or anyother disaster is a sinner before God. Sometimes God allows His people to suffer and die because there is something He knows about those individuals that needs to be made better – lessons that they need to learn – so that He can bring them into His Kingdom. Sometimes it has nothing to do with that individual’s needs – but it is for others who know them to learn a lesson so that they too can be saved (I have personally seen these situations – situations in which nothing made any sense until it was over and the fruit began to be born). God’s Word is full of the suffering of His people – for the perfection of themselves or for others whom God will bring to perfection.

The proof of sinner or saint is not found in suffering – but in their works,

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [17] Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. [18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. [19] Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by their fruits you will know them. – Matthew 7:16-20

And whether the fruit is good or evil is not a human decision, it is judged by the rules in God’s Word – not our personal like or dislike for a person or lifestyle. If we judge by our own standards we set ourself in the place of God – if we simply obey God’s judgements (His written Word) we place ourself as the servant of God (the servant doesn’t make the rules – but obeys them).

We are told we need to “Flatten the Curve” – I would suggest it is a much more dire need to flatten (and remove) another curve. The curve our nation has chosen to destruction.

God is always willing to forgive – but WE must repent first. We must stop the sins and turn to obey what He has commaned in His Word (the definition of repentance).

Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Law: for sin is the transgression of the Law. – 1 John 3:4

God did not preserve His Law in vain. How can we call God our “Father” while ignoring His Commands? How can we call His Son Jesus our “Brother”/”Saviour” while we disobey His Father’s Laws.

In a time of hardship shouldn’t we pause to consider our lifestyles and if they are obedient to God? Instead we constantly hear about the streaming videos to “binge watch”, the podcasts to “catch up on”, etc.. Rather than turn inwardly to examine ourselves by God’s Law, during a time of hardship (and to some, great fear) society runs after their own lusts.

Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. – Hebrews 12:11

and, just before this,

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not? [8] But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you illigitimate, and not sons. – Hebrews 12:7-8

God gives correction and punishment to teach us. But if we ignore the corrections and punishments (if we are not “exercised” by them – i.e. put into action what we are taught by God during correction), then God stops correcting us as a parent to teach us saving lessons of Life and to draw us closer to Him and His Way – instead He will punish us to destroy us from the earth.

But instead of turning to God – what are we doing? We are doubling down on our sins.
Judges have decided that Planned Parenthood is an “essential” business and must be allowed to continue murding children.
The “CARES” bill that is supposed to provide relief is filled with spending for businesses who’s work directly contradicts God’s Commands – the House bill contained such things as strengthening the killing of innocent babies.

We are not running to God and examining our lifestyles by His Word to obey Him – we are shoving Him away and spitting on Him and His Word.

Why should you be stricken any more? you will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. [6] From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. [7] Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. – Isaiah 1:5-7

Do we really believe that if God would punish His chosen people of Israel, His friend (Israel was sealed with the same seal of Faith), that He will refrain from wiping out people and nations that stubornly refuse obedience to Him?

If you will not observe to do all the words of this Law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD YOUR GOD; [59] Then the LORD will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. [60] Moreover He will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt, which you wast afraid of; and they will cleave unto thee. [61] Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this Law, them will the LORD bring upon you, until you be destroyed. – Deuteronomy 28:58-61

What we are witnessing in society may not be the “End Times” as so many people so often excitedly declare – but they are, without doubt – at the very least, birth pains that will result in the punishments on a society that has completely turned to sin.

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: [21] Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. – Revelation 9:20-21

Let us all turn to God – examine His Word to see the Truth of how we must live. Not changing and adjusting His Words to fit our own meanings – but doing what He said. Then will our land be healed – and that of much worse than the current pandemic. Because if we refuse to repent and OBEY God these types of occurances will only be the birth pains to our own destruction. God is always ready to forgive anyone who turns from their sins and in sincerity turns to obey Him.
