In the past few weeks America has watched a political process to seat a judge on its highest court.
If one ignored the political biases an interesting, but sickening, fact repeatedly came to the forefront; the fear that abortion (a.k.a. murdering innocent babies) would become outlawed.
It is hard to imagine a sicker society. Few would be willing to endorse a law that every year collected about one million (1,000,000) two year old children and crushed their skulls, or some other heinous murderous act.
Yet, a large portion of the American society appears to be in uncontrollable anguish at the thought that they may not be allowed to instigate or perform the exact same act, on the exact same child – but simply two years earlier in that child’s life.
The society prefers to call it a “woman’s right”, “women’s choice”, “reproductive health”, etc.. By calling it something that does not actually provide the true meaning of what the subject actual is, society eases their conscious – much like when 1930s and 1940s Germany called it “The Final Solution” or “Internment Camps”, etc.. By removing the direct link between the actual fact of the act and the description (i.e. redefining the language) a society can attempt to ignore the reality of their acts.
So in the year 2018 – a large portion of society is not satisfied that over the last 48 years this society has murdered about 50,000,000 innocent babies in this manner (we can not know the exact number since various states and various laws allow under reporting).
Do Americans actually believe that the God they claim their nation is under would have anything to do with such a society?
Let us examine what that God says…
(It must be noted before we start, there are some who believe that God’s Law and Word somehow give them the power or right to harm others for what they have done. That is completely wrong and an attempt to justify sinful thinking that too easily becomes sinful actions. If any person decides they will harm or kill any person for any reason they have placed themselves in the place of God for judgement and punishment; the result of this will be that God will return their punishments on their own heads. God’s Law and Word specifically states that if ANY person takes ANY life it is a sin (whether that is an abortionist, the person having the abortion, or someone who harms either). God will NEVER justify sin. The anger of man NEVER performs the righteousness of God.)
If America is a “Nation under God” then we will be interested in knowing what God has to say,
If men struggle, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he will be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he will pay as the judges determine.  And if any mischief follow, then you will give life for life,  Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,  Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
First let us notice verse 22 where the KJV reads “her fruit depart from her”. Some have attempted to label this is a miscarriage (NASB). This is completely false though. The fact is that the word “depart” actual means “come out”. The NASB which chose to translate it “miscarriage” notes it as LITERALLY meaning “her child come out”. Let us continue though for further proof.
Without needing to discuss motives for erroneously translating the Hebrew word “yatsa'” into “miscarriage”, we can note the same Hebrew word is used throughout God’s Word to depict a “coming out” or “coming forth”. Examples of this word’s usage are throughout God’s Word – but just a few quickly: Genesis 1:12 (“brought forth”), 1:24 (“bring forth”), Genesis 2:10 (“river went out of Eden”), Genesis 38:28 (the birth of Pharez and Zarah – “came out”), and the examples are many and throughout. This word (unlike the meaning of “miscarriage”) does not intone any harm.
So the actual meaning (acknowledged even by other translations) is “so that her child come out, and yet no harm/injury follow:”. This is a situation in which a man has caused a woman to give birth before she was naturally due. As God’s Word says – yet no harm comes to the woman or child. In this situation the man who caused this is still liable for what he caused (i.e. birthing before the due time). The husband of the woman is to specify what restitution is fitting and the judges are to judge between the demands and the actual punishment to be performed.
We then see in verses 23-25:
 And if any mischief follow, then you will give life for life,  Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,  Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Two things are plainly shown in these two verses.
By stating “if any mischief follow” (“mischief” here is the Hebrew word “hayah” – meaning “harm” or injury) it is obvious that in verse 22 no harm of injury must have occurred to the child or woman – simply that she gave birth to the child before her due time.
If any mischief (literally harm) is caused then the predetermined punishments come into action (i.e. it is no longer a matter of the husband and judges determining what is a fitting penalty). The punishments are “life for life,” and verse 24-25.
Notice this is in agreement with Leviticus 24:17-22,
And he that kills any man will surely be put to death.  And he that kills a beast will make it good; beast for beast.  And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbor; as he has done, so will it be done to him;  Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so will it be done to him again.  And he that kills a beast, he shall restore it: and he that kills a man, he will be put to death.  You will have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God.
What does God say about a human life before the actual birth?
In Jeremiah God tells Jeremiah,
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.  Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
Before the child was even formed in the womb of his mother, God acknowledged him. Before the child’s mother had given birth, God had knew what his place within His Plan would be. (It is correct to note here that while the words “for I am a child” are apropos to the discussion at hand – Jeremiah is simply meaning he is young.)
King David wrote very much the same (see 2 Samuel 23 as well),
Psalm 139:14-16 (NASB is a bit clearer for those no accustomed to old English terms)
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
 My frame was nothidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.
 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book they were all written,
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
(An interesting side note here is the words “unformed substance” translated from the Hebrew “golem” which means “wrapped” [i.e. “mass” also it infers “embryo”]).
Before being even formed God acknowledged the life. While we are free to make our choices in life – God knows before we are born what we will do. We are not forced into any action, simply because God knows all things, He knows the choices we will make. We all are a part of God’s Plan one way or another. We choose which side we will be on – the righteous side and used for the Good that must be in His plan, or the evil side and used for the evil that must be to complete the plan.
As God said to Pharaoh by Moses “for this cause have I raised you up…”. Knowing the choices Pharaoh would choose, God allowed him to that position at that time to complete that part of the Plan.
As Jesus said to Pilot, “You could have no power at all against Me, except it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered Me unto you has the greater sin.” – yet now that The Lord Jesus stood before him, it was now time for Pilot to decide to do good or evil. Pilot chose to do evil – but God had allowed him to that position knowing before what he would choose.
In this same way each one of us are a part of God’s Plan. We choose to be a part of it for evil or good.
But no matter our choice – God saw our lives before we were even formed in the womb. God acknowledges the life even before birth – even before formation.
We have only touched on a few examples to prove that God considers us to be living humans before birth – even before formation.
So how does a nation that claims “One Nation Under God” if they directly oppose what that God says?
Without repentance and stopping the sin – the nation, the people, have chosen to be a part of God’s Plan for evil and not for good.
It is obvious that those who claim to be God’s people must esteem the Laws and Words of God higher than any laws or words of men. So if this nation is refusing to obey The God they claim – are they at least complying with their own claims of laws?
In 1776 the American British colonies proclaimed their separation from Great Britain. The founders of The United States, in Congress, produced a document stating not only the reasons for the separation, but also declaring what they claimed to be this new nations basic belief. Beliefs that are supposedly the basic foundations on which all the nation’s laws are founded.
The founders stated:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
While the Constitution is what the legal system considers “supreme” law. It can not be denied that the above statement is the foundation on which the Constitution was placed and from which the Constitution’s Rights of “life”, “liberty”, etc., are derived. If the Declaration of Independence is removed as a legal basis for definitions, then the Constitution loses its own foundation. (remember we are now speaking to a human mindset)
Using this statement it would become obvious that:
1) If The Creator gives the right to life to every person, then the above Words of that Creator must preside over when He acknowledges life. Since The Creator acknowledges life at conception – and in fact, because He is God, even before conception – then how can the people claiming to obey their supreme law (which they claim is based on that Creator’s “endowed rights” that can not be voided) make any other claim of when life begins?
2) If this right, given by The Creator, is inalienable – meaning irremovable and unchangeable, how have the people who claim the Constitutional laws claim at the same time the ability to remove this declared irremovable right from the innocent baby?
3) If The Creator gives every person the right to life, and this is a truth that is self-evident (meaning a statement that requires no evidence or proof because it is obviously true), how has the nation denied its truth. A person’s life is obviously a right given to that person by The Creator – The giver of Life. This also would mean then that only that Creator and Life giver has the right to remove that life.
The 5th Amendment to the Constitution states:
“No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”
Unless a society is going to define “due process” as such that an innocent person can be ordered executed by a court, alienating that “right to Life” foundation, then an innocent baby in the womb can not legally be deprived of life.
Since current legal definitions do not claim a death penalty for committing no crime as “due process”, how is the right to life alienated from the baby?
So not only does this nation refuse God’s Word and Laws but they do not even obey their own claimed laws and beliefs.
For now they will say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?  They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springs up as hemlock* in the furrows of the field.
[* hemlock is a poisonous plant]
For our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;  In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.  And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.  Yes, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
The Lord will cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaks proud things:  Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?  For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffs at him.
